I have encountered many things in life that have made me who I am today. Life changing events, some of which I will regale you with in later editions of posts this month.
Today however I will tell you of one specific one that brought me to my knees, gashing a hole in my heart, forever un-mending. Today I bring you the letter 'C'. For me this letter will always be for Corwin.
Corwin was my first child. Corwin never got to have his first birthday. He never got to go to deer camp with his Dad. He never knew the comfort of his Mother's arms. His life had a different purpose. One I may understand someday but for now only fills me with anger and resentment, sadness and yearning. He would have been almost 6 yrs old now.
My beautiful Corwin
Lost son of mine
I have been searching for you
I always will.
I will never forget you
All that is pure and good
Treasured in your heart
Golden in it's moment
Your perfect little toes
burned into memory
I see them from time to time
I miss them always
My tears are the only solace
I give to this earth
Droplets of sorrow
Emptying my heart
I shall see you again
One day I hope
Stay strong and love
I love you!
